Obituary

Mother Ada Louise Wynn Walker was born November 21, 1926 in Washington County. She was the 11th child of the late Edward Wynn & Mary E. Patrick Wynn. She entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2012 at Martin General Hospital, Williamston, NC.

At an early age she joined Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) under the leadership of Pastor Aronious Cooper. Later on she joined the Undenominational Revival Center, Roper, NC where she remained faithful and dedicated to this ministry.

She attended schools in Washington County. She was employed as a domestic worker. On November 19, 1946 she was united in holy matrimony to the late Douglas Walker, Sr. To this union nine children were born. Two preceded her in death, Peggy and Karlton. Also nine of her siblings preceded her in death: Fannie, Elizabeth, Jody, George (Pete), Molly, Phillip, Edward, Shimney and Charlie.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters- Ada Watts, Patricia Norman, Sequita Walker- all of Plymouth, four sons- Tyrone Walker- Nyack, NY, Douglas Walker, Jr., Morris Ray Walker, Bobby Walker- all of Plymouth, one brother- James Raleigh Wynn- Plymouth, twenty-three grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 3:00PM Sunday August 26, 2012 at Undenominational Revival Center Roper, with Bishop James Burnett, Pastor and Minister Ronnie Norman, officiating. Burial followed in Macedonia Cemetery.
