Mrs. Alberta Bonds Owens, 85, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing Rehabilitation Center. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Garden Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Emmitt Godette officiating. Burial will follow in Toodle's Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons- Adonis Owens-Plymouth, Van Owens- Jamesville; two brothers- Roy Bonds- Plymouth, Edward Bonds- Jamesville; two sisters- Pauline Dance-Plymouth, Sara Cooper-Plymouth; eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

The body will be placed in the church at noon for viewing. The family will receive visitors at the home of her son, Adonis Owens, 511 White Oak Road, Plymouth.
