Mr. Alexander Moore, Jr. was born May 17, 1943 in Blount's Creek, NC, to the late Alexander Moore and Mary Hill Moore. He received his education from SW Snowden High School in Aurora, NC. He departed this life and went to be with the Lord and Savior on April 2, 2020 at his home.

In the early 60's Alexander relocated to Brooklyn, NY and in 1962 he met his wife, Evelyn Davis. On March 30 1962 they were united in holy matrimony. They were married for 58 years.

Alexander was a faithful member of Fountain of Life Baptist Church, formerly known as Mt. Delane Baptist Church, and served as deacon at the church. He was dedicated to his church family and was faithful to his duties before becoming ill. Alexander spent most of his life working at Weyerhaeuser which he did for 45 years.

Surviving him are his wife- Evelyn Moore; sons- Curtis Moore, Hamdiya Moore; brother- Arthur Moore; sisters- Clara Barrow, Bethia Miles, Shirley Wheaton, Ella Brown, Patricia Moore, Gloria Womack and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services were 1:00PM April 8, 2020 at Fountain of Life Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie McNair, officiating.
