Barbara Jean Jones was born November 16, 1950, to the late William and Mable Brown.  She departed this life on October 12, 2016.

Barbara attended Washington County Public Schools. She was a homemaker.

Barbara married Cleonza Jones, who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three daughters and two sons, Sara (Gene) Pinner, and Sherri Anthony of Plymouth, NC, Ernest (Faye) Brown of Williamston, NC, Sharita Jones, and Merle (April) Brown, both of Junction City, KS.

Three sisters survive; they are:  Pearline Clapp of Manhattan, NY, Annie (Calvin) Ruffin of Junction City, KS, and Jane Brown of Plymouth, NC.

Barbara is survived by four brothers: William (Princess) Brown of Baltimore, MD, Melvin Brown, James(Dale) Brown, both of Plymouth, NC and Tony (Deenie) Brown of Junction City, KS.

She leaves one uncle, Thurman McCuller, and twelve grandchildren; Temika Brown, Teshawn Brown, Rashad Pinner, Charlotte Davis, Kimoni Anthony, Ontezya Anthony, Tyasha Brown, Merle Brown, Jr., Jordan Brown, Samaya Brown, Messiah Moore, and Mi'Azya Moore.

Barbara is also survived by three great grandchildren; Aaliyah Carter, Jamari Brown and Kayden Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Three special friends will miss her and cherish the time they had together; they are Loretta Moore, Debora Spruill, and Linda Simmons.
