Carolyn Darnell Boyd was born August 18, 1957 to Leona Howard Boyd and the late Edward Boyd. She was the youngest of 10 children. She departed this life on September 18, 2015.

"Tin-Tin" as she was affectionately called attended school in Washington County and graduated from Plymouth High School. She immediately joined the work force and gained employment with Plymouth Garment Company, where she worked for many years.

Carolyn had many hobbies and pastimes. She liked fishing, cooking, and reading, but she really liked watching Tyler Perry movies. She loved spending time with family and telling them to lookout for each other and to always do good.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters- Catina (Demetrius) Moye- Greenville, NC., Danielle Boyd- Plymouth, NC.; son- Tyrone Boyd- Plymouth, NC.; one granddaughter- Janel Boyd- Pittsburgh, PA.; mother- Leona Howard Boyd- Plymouth, NC.; two sisters-Marjorie Moore- Baltimore, MD., Leslie (Kent) Boyd- Plymouth, NC.; seven brothers- Herman Moore- Kansas City, MO., Leonard Howard-Brooklyn, NY., Louis (Elizabeth) Boyd- Lillington, NC., Sherman (Diane) Boyd- Baltimore, MD., William (Mary) Boyd- Baltimore, MD., Robert Boyd- Plymouth, NC., Larry (Nyla) Boyd- Plymouth, NC.; special friend- Dary Midgett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were 2:00PM Thursday September 24, 2015 at Victory Christian Fellowship with Pastor Avis D. Hammond, pastor/ officiating. Burial followed in Boyd-Brooks Family Cemetery.
