Charles Lindberg Norfleet, Jr., was born August 24, 1953 in Washington County. He was the son of the late Charles Lindberg Norfleet, Sr. and Irma Mae Boston Norfleet. He departed his earthly life on September 23, 2015 in High Point, NC. surrounded by his loved ones.

Charles attended Washington County Schools where he participated in the marching band and drove the school bus. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972. Charles knew the importance of hard work throughout his life. He was employed with various lumber companies, Georgia Pacific, Weyerhaeuser, and Atlantic Forest just to name a few. Charles had a strong passion for music, therefore in his spare time he learned to play many instruments, the keyboard, guitar, and drums. He was a great vocalist as well.

In 1977 Charles accepted Christ as his personal Savior. His mission was to spread the word of God to everyone. Within the same year, Charles also met the love his life Roberta Louise Norfleet. They were united in marriage and began to Crusade for Christ together. Charles joined the Gospel group "The Sons of God", where he would travel from place to place telling about the goodness of Jesus through song and music.

As the years went on, Charles answered a higher calling from God and became Pastor Charles Lindberg Norfleet, Jr. During his pastoring years he worked diligently for the Lord by praying for others, spreading encouraging words, but most of all, preaching the Word of God. Pastor Norfleet, Jr. would acquire his own church, Victory Tabernacle Church of God, where he spent many hours saving souls and praying for you and I.

Pastor Norfleet, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife if 38 years, Roberta Louise Norfleet- Plymouth, NC.; daughter- Marita Cheney Elliot- GA.; son- Charles Lindberg Norfleet, III (Mylana)- High Point, NC.; granddaughter- Cheniyah Watts- GA.; grandsons- Tre'Sean Elliott- GA., Jaden and Jordan Norfleet- High Point, NC.; brothers-William Frazier (Wanda)- Mississippi, Larry Frazier (Melanie) CA., Pastor Carnell Norfleet (Yvonne)- Williamston, NC., David Norfleet- Portsmouth, VA., Bobby Norfleet- Murray, NC., Eugene Norfleet- Plymouth, NC.; sisters- Jacqueline Norfleet Clagon- Plymouth, NC., Patricia Norfleet- Plymouth, NC.; and a very special niece, Konnwanda Norman of Greenville, NC., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Norfleet.

Funeral services were 2:00PM Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Temple of Christ Church with Bishop Avery Barnes, pastor, Pastor Carnell Norfleet, eulogist. Burial followed in Uniontown Cemetery.
