Charlotte Ann Young Baxton, passed away on Wednesday, February 11,2015 at the age of 56. She was born to the late Stella Purvis and Roland Young Sr., on February 15, 1958.

As a young girl she worked hard on the farm. Later she worked several years at Washington County Union School, as a custodian, where she retired early. Everyone knew that if Charlotte was able to do so she would do, no matter what. On January 17, 1991 she married William Allen Baxton.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Swain, and brother, Lloyd Young. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, William Baxton, of the home; one son Blake Baxton of Roper, NC, two daughters, Gloria Ford (Julius) and Charlotte Young (Marlowe) of Plymouth, NC, eight stepchildren, Pamela Phelps, Tonette Phelps, Ebony Phelps, Tracey Baxton, and William Baxton, all of Edenton, NC, and Jermaine Clemmons, Melissa Cisco, Shannon Cisco, Samantha Jackson, all of New York. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jaquan Ford, Kimmoria Ford, and Shardaja Young. She is also survived by one sister, Ida Young Swain, of Roper, and two brothers, Roland Young Jr. of Roper, and William young of Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM, at The Temple of Christ Church ,Plymouth, NC, with Bishop Avery A. Barnes, Officiating. Burial followed at Baxton's Family Home.
