Clara Gertrude Taylor Hudson, affectionately known as "Miss Beedie" 90, was born in Washington County on March 07,1924 to the late Martha Garrett Taylor and Louis Phillip Taylor. She preceded this life February 01, 2015 at Washington County Hospital, Plymouth, North Carolina.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Marvin Cleophus Hudson Sr. and to is union five children were born.

Clara attended Washington County Public schools and joined Pentecostal Temple COGIC at an early age. Later on in life she joined Long Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She spent her working career as a homemaker where she balanced priorities to create a better life for her children.

She was survived by her children; three daughters: Hazel (Roosevelt) Harvey and Marlene (Herman) Carr both of Plymouth, NC, Alfreda (William) Moore of Dardens, NC and Tony Hudson of Columbia, NC. eighteen grandchildren: twenty-two great grandchildren: four great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Doc Downing and Louis (Kay0 Boone both of Plymouth, NC.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Cleophus Hudson Sr.;three brothers: Willie Taylor, Charlie Taylor, and Joe Louis (Seebo) Taylor, and grandson, Marvin Hudson III (Little Marvin). She also leaves to cherish her memories; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 06,2015 at 1:00 PM, at Pentecostal Temple COGIC, in Plymouth, NC. Rev. Dr. General James, Officiating. Burial followed at Ellis Lee Cemetery, Plymouth, NC.
