Cynthia Spruill Mair was born on June 29, 1954 to the late Wilbert and Reather Brooks. She departed this life on March 19, 2014 in Washington, NC.

Cynthia attended Washington County Public Schools where she graduated from Plymouth High School. She attended Beaufort Community College, there she earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Cindy, she was affectionately called, worked as a home daycare provider. She worked for Washington County Public Schools, Norfolk Public Schools and as a CNA until her health begin to fail her. Cindy had a special love for children and was willing to help anyone.

Cynthia leaves behind a daughter- Juanita(Erick), sisters- Jean and Carla of Plymouth; brothers- Ronald Brooks, Calvin Brooks, Gerald Brooks of Plymouth, and Ricky Brooks of Greenville, NC.; grandchildren- Eria, Elijah, Endia, and Everick;, and a host oof other relatives.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbert and Reather Brooks, son- Juan "TJ" Hoza Moore, Jr., two sisters- Cassandra "Toot" Brooks and Janice Brooks Harris and her husband Lloyd Mair.

Funeral services were 11:30AM Saturday March 29, 2014 at New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Harry White, officiating.
