Sunday, February 15, 2015 Jehovah called and received the soul of our dear sister Dionne Owens. Dionne was born July 16, 1957 to the late James and Marvell Boyd Bell. Dionne became a member of the Kingdom Hall at a early age and served faithfully.
Dionne attended the Washington County Public Schools where she graduated in 1976. She continued her education in Early childhood at Beaufort Community College.
Dionne was a hard worker and knew how to provide for her family. She worked at Washington County Hospital as a nursing assistant and ward secretary for 24 years. Later she became the owner and operator of Rainbow Children Family Childcare Home in August of 2000.She ventured out and opened ,A Brighter Future Childcare Center in 2012, where she was gainfully employed until her death.
Dionne leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Sterling Ray Owens for 31 years of the home, one daughter, Stephanie Webb (Lamont) of the home, one son, Brandon Bell (Tracy) of Plymouth, NC, two step-sons, Jeremy Anderson of Fort Jackson, SC and Terrence Anderson of Apex, NC. She leaves one sister, Lana Bell Midgett of Plymouth and one brother, Victor Bently (Cynthia) of Fayetteville,NC. She leaves two special nephews that she loved as her own, Michael and Jalen Bell. She leaves ten grandchildren, Ahmareyon, Jave'yon, Janaiah, Khaimese, Lamonica Webb, Kemauri Bell of Plymouth, NC. Shawn and Cyrius Anderson of South Carolina, Taya and Ratana Anderson of Apex, NC, one Aunt, Doris Crichlow of Plymouth,NC., Four sister-in-laws, Denise Thomas (Johnnie), Nina Owens both of Plymouth,NC ,Vallery Owens of Greensboro,NC, Wendy Gray (Aaron) of Darlington, SC, two brother-in-laws, Earl Owens(Gloria) of Columbia, NC, and Dexter Owens (Constance) of Roper,NC. Father-in-law, Richard Owens (Majorie) of Plymouth,NC, Two special cousins Regina Butler and Merion Anderson. Two god-daughters, Christina and Crystal Linson. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father James Bell, mother, Marvell Bell, and brother Maurice Whitehead.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM, at Toodle's Funeral Home., with Brother Emmanuel Small, Officiating. Burial followed at Toodle's Cemetery, Plymouth,NC.
