Earl "Buddy" Webb was born on March 24, 1956 to Robert Earl Norman and the late Geneva Webb in Lees Mill Township, Roper, NC. Earl made his transition to his eternal home on February 10, 2017 at 5:14 a.m. at Vidant Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC.
Three siblings preceded him in death; brothers, Frank Swain and James Webb, and a sister, Ester Mae Walker.
"Buddy", as he was affectionately called, graduated in June 1974 from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia, PA. He immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in February 1983. Upon returning to Roper, NC he became employed with Tee-Lok in Edenton, NC and worked there until the company was sold.
In his spare time, Earl enjoyed fishing, carpentry work, and shooting pool. He was an avid pool player, and if he was able, he would help anyone in need.
Earl leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Kiyonna Webb; two granddaughters, Sierra and Cheyenne Owens, all of Killeen, TX; his father, Robert Earl Norman and step-mother, Lillie Mae Norman of the home; two brothers, Edward Earl Belfield of Portsmouth, VA and Morris Spruill of Plymouth, NC.
He is also survived by nine sisters; Alice Webb-Byrd (William), Brenda Jenkins, Donna Webb, and Clarissa Webb, all of Philadelphia, PA; Diane Baldwin (Kerry) and Demetrice Jones, both of Plymouth, NC; Valerie Jackson (Willie Lee Chesson) of Roper, NC; Cassandra Randolph (Curtis) of Atlanta, GA; Keosha Swain of Hobgood, NC; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
