Ella Vivian Pierce Blount was born February 2, 1927 to the late Winfield Pierce and Delliah Pierce Hill in Plymouth, NC. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 26, 2018 at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plymouth, NC.

She attended school in Washington County. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She later joined Guiding Star Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Plymouth, NC. She served as a choir member and as president of the Pastor's Aide Committee. She was an active and faithful member until her health began to fail.

She was married to the late James D. Blount.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four nieces- Linda Jones, Tina, Darcell and Ursaline Cheeks; two nephews- McKinley (Mack) Smith and Lionel Pierce; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Known to some as "Ma Vivian", she will be truly missed.
