Elsie Delores Mariner Gee was born August 18, 1934 to the late George and Martha Mariner in Martin County. God sent his angel's to guide her home on March 25, 2016 at Washington County Hospital.

Elsie attended Jamesville Elementary School and E.J. Hayes High School. She worked as a store clerk for Roses Department Store and Plymouth Garment Factory. She worked many years as a Home Daycare provider, touching the lives of many. She was a faithful member and Mother of Lilly of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church and a faithful Sunday School attendee.

Mother Gee will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to many. She was a very special woman.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: William Orlando Gee (Daphne)- Frederick, MD., Cynthia McNair Goddard (Wyndell)- Washington, NC.; sisters- Violet Lambert- Radiant, VA., Ann Mariner- New Rochelle, NY., Agnes Dixon- Plymouth, NC.; seven grandchildren- Jasmine, Jason, Tiffany, Thomas, Sharonda, Phillip, Cherrena; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her husband, William D. Gee preceded her in death.

Funeral services were11:00AM March 25, 2016 at Lilly of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jasper Arnold, pastor/officiating. Burial followed in Gee Family Cemetery.
