Ernestine Spruill, 68, of 1697 Mouth of The Creek Road, Blounts Creek, NC., passed away peacefully July 21, 2021 at home.

Ernestine was born August 7, 1952 in Washington County, NC., to the late Ernest and Carrie Spruill. She attended Washington County Public Schools. She was a member of Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ). Ernestine truly loved the Lord and reading her bible.

Ernestine worked various farm laboring jobs and as a custodian at Plymouth High School. Ernestine sincerely loved her family, children, and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children- Linwood Spruill (Vintoniya)- Plymouth; Wanda Guion- Blounts Creek; Jonas Simpson (Carolyn)- Roper; four sisters- Carrie Norman, Elnora Spruill, Sandra Spruill, and Evangelist Regina Rawls- all of Plymouth; brother- Elder Ronald Spruill, Sr. (Carol), Plymouth; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Simpson, Jr., grandson, Lee DeShawn Norman, Sr., five sisters and four brothers.
