Eva Rhodes Burnette was born March 15, 1962 in Roper, NC. She was the daughter of the late Richard S. Rhodes, Sr., and Margaret Patrick Rhodes. Eva passed away on May 2, 2013 at the age of 61.

Eva married Henry L. Burnette on October 6, 1973. From this union, three sons were born. Eva's devoted life to Christ gave her a profound love and concern for others. Eva served the community as a dedicated employee of the local Salvation Army. She worked endless hours to ensure that families needs were met.

Boston (Larry)- Plymouth, NC., Glennie R. Patrick- Hampton, VA.; brother- Ricky L. Rhodes- Hampton, VA.; sister-in-law- Joyce Hudson (Roscoe)- Roper, NC.; brothers-in-law- Minister Clifton Johnson (Mary)-Greenville, NC., Jimmie Clark Sr.- Plymouth, NC.; aunts- Alberta Patrick- Bronx, NY., Blanche Odem- Prichard, Ala.; uncle- Matthew Patrick- Mt. Vernon, NY.; eight grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were 2:00PM May 6, 2013 at Temple of Christ Church with Vice Bishop Daniel Gilliam officiating, Reverend Avery Barnes, Pastor. Burial followed in Rhodes Cemetery Roper, NC.
