On December 3, 2014 God wrapped his loving arms around Evangelist Rosa Lee Taylor and took her home to be with Him to rest. Rosa, the daughter of the late Edgar and Rebecca Taylor was born October 2, 1954 in Plymouth, NC. She joined Lilly of The Valley Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. and was a member of the Junior Choir.
Rosa attended the public schools of Washington County and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1973. She continued her education at Pitt Technical Institute, Greenville , NC. Rosa moved to the Maryland area where she built a life centered around her position as Personnel Manager at Hill's Capital Security in Silver Spring, MD. She also held positions at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, and National Fisheries Institute, Rosslyn, VA, where she retired due to Health issues.
Her smile and laughter was an inspiration to all who knew her. Rosa loved family, friends and entertaining; she was always ready for a "road trip".
She gave herself totally to the Lord in the early 1990's at New Hope and Deliverance Church of God, Washington, DC where she was ordained as an Missionary by Apostle Lillian Beato. She was later ordained as an Evangelist by Apostle S.E. McKinney of The Greater Oasis Temple Pentecostal Deliverance Church, Wilson, NC. She furthered her studies at Another Touch of Glory Ministries, School of Prophets, Waldorf, MD. Rosa then established Desires of The Heart Ministries. She was also ordained as Apostle from The International Apostolic Movement by Dr. Lillie Atkinson, Winterville, NC. She joined fellowship with Christ Revealed Miracle Tabernacle, Apostle Paul Sherrill, Mitchellville, MD where she attended Greater Glory School of Ministry, and thus completing her studies. Her Ministry work included Clergy and Counsel for several Assisted Living facilities.Her international travels included The Grand Bahamas and Guyana, South America. Rosa's greatest ministry was glorifying God and ministering to people one on one and heart to heart.
Rosa Lee gave birth to Clifton Enrico Taylor, who preceded her in his homegoing. in July 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory three grandsons, Jeffrey, Jason, and Jharic; two sisters, Vivian Jean Taylor Rascoe, Patricia Taylor; three brothers, Jerald Taylor (Barbara), Tommy Taylor (Joan), and Bernard Taylor (Linda). Rosa had a number of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many, many friends who loved Rosa Lee's exuberant smile, personality and zest for life and love.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at Spring Green Church of Christ, Plymouth, NC. with Bishop-Elect Stanley C. Hicks, Sr., Pastor. Officiant: Apostle S.E. McKinney. Burial followed at Lily of Valley Church Cemetery, Plymouth, NC
