Freddie Lee Simpson, Jr., the son of Freddie Simpson, Sr. and Ernestine Spruill was born October 18, 1969. He departed this life on Sunday May 11, 2014 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, NC.

Freddie attended Washington County Schools. He was a member of Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ). Freddie truly loved his family and his friends and he was loved by many. He loved fishing and sports, such as wrestling, video games, and watchimg tv.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memories his mother- Ernestine Spruill of the home, father- Freddie Lee Simpson, Sr. (Beverly)- Roper, NC., brothers- Linwood Spruill-Plymouth, NC., Jonas Simpson (Carolyn)- Roper, NC., Abdullah Smiley- Brooklyn, NY., sister- Wanda Simpson Guion- Blounts Creek, NC., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Freddie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents- Ernest and Carrie Spruill, and his paternal grandparents- Raymond Everett and Gladys Simpson.

Funeral services were 1:00PM Saturday May 17, 2014 at Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Stanley Hicks, Sr. pastor, Minister Silas Norman, officiating. Burial followed in Spruill's Family Cemetery, Roper.
