George A. Perry, better known as "Buck", was born on December 5, 1927 in Martin County to the late Anthony Perry and Francis Nicholson Perry. On October 15, 2016, he departed this life at the Martin General Hospital in Williamston, North Carolina.
George was educated in the Martin County school system, and began his working life at Rogers Warehouse, where he was employed for many years.
Later, he met and married Myrtle Fisher, who preceded him in death. To their union, nine children were born. Three of his children preceded him in death; George Perry, Jr., Barbara Perry Peele, and Chelson Perry. Four brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
George leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, Len Perry (Donna) of Boston, MA; Donnie Perry (Sandra) of Winston-Salem, NC; Dean Perry (Brenda) of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Perry (Danielle) of the home.
He is also survived by two daughters; Carolyn Perry of Atlantic City, NJ and Stella Perry of Williamston, NC; three sisters, Hazel Howard of Hamilton, NC; Fannie Perry of Norfolk, VA, and Beverly Perry of Portsmouth, VA.
George also leaves one brother, Levi Perry (Marie) of Williamston, NC, in addition to sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
