Glenda Kay Jackson was born November 2, 1958 to the late Thelma Marie Jackson. She departed this life on May 12, 2012 at Vidant Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC. She attended Washington County School System. She was a homemaker and mother to three children. She enjoyed singing and sang with the Golden Voices. She was a member of Solid Rock True Standard Holiness Church where she helped the Gospel Invaders.

Glenda leaves to cherish her memories three sons- Oliver Jackson, Durrell Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, sister- Iris Sanders, and three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
