Obituary

Gloria Ann Hale was born February 27, 1939 in Plymouth to the late Ernest and Bertha Mae Simmons. She departed this life on June 22, 2012 at Roanoke Landing Assisted Living Facility.

Gloria did her younger days of education in the NYC Bronx area, and the family moved to Brooklyn, NY. While there she met and married the late Leroy Hale. To this union they had four children the late Calvin Allen Hale, Regina, Adrian, and Cassandra.

While raising her family she worked at Ideal Corporation with automotive parts. She also worked for Little Flower Children Services with the adoption of foster children. Gloria later moved back to Plymouth where she and her adoptive sister Mother Elsie Gee opened and operated Little Precious Children Childcare Services for 20 years. Her biggest joy besides traveling, was taking care of and loving children. She was an usher at Lily of the Valley Church for many years before she became a member of Long Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters- Regina Laverpool- NY., Adrian Chapman-Brooklyn, NY, Cassandra Selby- Plymouth; brothers- Robert Beasley- NY, Harold Beasley- NY, Edward Beasley- Brooklyn, NY; sisters Gail Lynch- NJ, Linda Beasley- NY, Shelia Beasley- Bronx, NY, and her adoptive sister Mother Elsie Gee- Plymouth, NC, 19 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held 1:00PM June 27, 2012 at Long Ridge Missionary Baptist Church wit Reverend Dr. General James officiating. Burial followed in Gee Family Cemetery.
