Hal Eugene Moore was born December 2, 1933 in Plymouth, NC. He was the second oldest son of the late William B. Moore, Sr. and Bessie Lee Moore. He departed peacefully March 22, 2016 at Cedarbrook Nursing Center, Allentown.
Hal joined Spring Green Church of Christ(Disciples of Christ) Church at an early age and was baptized in the Albemarle Sound by Rev. Noah Boston. He started his education in Philadelphia, PA and then returned back to Plymouth where he completed high school.
Relocating to New York, Hal was employed for George the Greek handling imports and exports until he became ill. Hal will be remembered as being full of life, always singing a song, coloring away and playing with his nieces and nephews.... Let's not forget to grease his palm before saying good-bye.
Hal is survived by: wife- Lorraine W. Moore; children- Ellis Moore (DeAnna)- CA, Hal Moore, Jr. (Joy)- Easton, PA., Cynthia Teresa Everett- Brooklyn, NY., David Moore (Laura)- Chicago, IL., Jerry Moore (Janice)- Brooklyn, NY., Beverly James (Christopher) - Jamesville, NC., Gregory Moore Norman (Lisa)- Allentown, PA., Barcell Lassiter (Channel)- PA., George Moore- PA.; sister- Penelope Moore Norman- Allentown, PA.; sister-in-law- Jeanette Moore- Mt. Vernon, NY.; 26 grand, great-grand and great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hal was preceded in death by a son, Michael Tyrone Moore, Sr., and brothers, William and Lowes Moore.
Funeral services were held at Toodle's Chapel with Rev. Alonzo Sutton, officiating. Burial followed in Uniontown Church Cemetery.
