Rural Hall, NC resident, Helen Powell Downing Clark, 93, formerly of Roper, NC, died Thursday January 9, 2014 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday January 18, 2014 at Eastern North Carolina Assembly Headquarters, Roper, NC, with Bishop Daniel Boston, officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.She was born December 8, 1920 in Martin County to the late George and Lena Powell.The family will receive friends 7:00PM to 9:00PM Friday January 17, 2014 at Eastern North Carolina Assembly Headquarters,101 June St. Roper, NC.
