Irene Gaskins Norman's Obituary
Irene Gaskins Norman affectionately known as "Pokie"was born in Washington County to the late Mary and Lee Gaskins. She departed this life on February 7, 2013 at Vidant Hospital, Greenville.
On April 21, 1950 she married Sherman Norman. Sherman preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons- William Boston- Richmond, VA., Sherman Norman, Jr.,- Plymouth, NC., Therlow Norman- Texarkana, TX.; two daughters- Peggy Moore- Williamston, NC., Clarissa Singletary- Greenville, NC; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. One son, Robert Norman, Sr. preceded her in death.
Graveside services were held Sunday February 10, 2013 at Toodle's Cemetery with Pastor Jay Paul Cotton officiating.
