Jack Harris, Jr. was born August 17, 1941 to the late Jack and Allie Mae Harris of Fairfield, NC. He departed this life of October 3, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Jack was a member of Star Zion Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield, NC where he served on the Deacon Board. Jack received his diploma from Davis High School in Engelhard, NC.

Jack was employed with the Knitting Company in Brooklyn, NC and Trumps Caterer and Restaurant in Plymouth, NC. He was married to Ann Weston for 35 years. She preceded him in death. He later married Janice Brooks who also preceded him in death.

Jack leaves to cherish his memories, his brother- James Harris (Deloris)- Greensboro, NC., sisters- Lula Thomas (Nathaniel)-Plymouth, NC., Dorothy Hawkins (Jimmy)- Brooklyn, NY., step-mother- Evelena Harris, four step-sisters- Dorothy, Shirley, Mary, Viola, special nephew who took care of him and loved him- Jonathan Thomas (Carolyn)- Plymouth, NC., special friend, Mr. Edison Towe, Jr.,-Plymouth, NC., whom he chatted with everyday, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Harris, and sisters, Bertha Green, Lillie Spencer, and Walnita Harris.

Funeral services were 1:00PM Friday October 10, 2014 at Star Zion Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Jeffery Hines, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Harris Family Cemetery.
