Joyce Chenelle Fields-Green affectionately known as "Nell" was born on March 3, 1973 to Reverend Sammy and Chevelle Fields. Joyce departed this life on Tuesday August 28, 2012.

At an early age, she joined First Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the youth choir. Joyce received her education through the Washington County Public School System and attended Elizabeth City State University.

Joyce leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband- Nathan Green, two daughters- Briana and Amara Fields, her parents- Reverend Sammy and Chevelle Fields, step-mother- Tavonda Jordan-Fields, a sister- Victoria Fields- Plymouth, NC., three brother-Sammy Fields, Jr.,-Atlanta, Ga., Keith Fields-Winston-Salem, NC., Darrell Fields-Plymouth, NC., step-sister- Yalonda Harrell- Camden, NC., step-brother-William Jordan- Suffolk, VA., two grandparents- Jeraldine Davenport-Roper,NC., Alice Fields-Raleigh, NC., four nieces and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held 1:00PM Tuesday September 4, 2012 at First Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Welch, Jr., officiating. Burial followed in First Zion Grove Cemetery.
