Obituary

Keith Omar Fields was born on May 5, 1984 to Reverend Sammy and Chevelle Fields. He departed this life on April 28, 2013 at Washington County Hospital, Plymouth.

At an early age, Keith joined First Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the youth choir. Later, he became keyboardist for the choir.

Keith received his education through the Washington County Public Schools and attended Winston-Salem State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While attending college, his love of music continued to grow. He played for several churches throughout the Greensboro and Winston-Salem area. Before his move back to Plymouth, Keith served as minister of music at the Holy Spirit Fellowship, Inc. in Winston-Salem.

Keith leaves to cherish his loving memory, his parents- Sammy and Chevelle Fields, step-mother- Tavonda Jordan-Fields, sister- Victoria Fields-Plymouth, NC, step-sister- Yolanda Hall-Camden, NC., brothers Sammy Fields, Jr.-Atlanta, GA., Darrell Fields- Plymouth, NC., grandparents- Jeraldine Davenport- Roper, NC., and Alice Fields- Raleigh, NC., six nieces, two nephews, one god-son- Deven Scales, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends

Keith was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Fields-Green and a step-brother William Jordan.

Funeral services were held 2:00PM Sunday May 5, 2013 at First Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Welch, Jr. officiating, and Pastor Roger E. Hayes, eulogist. Burial followed in First Zion Grove Cemetery.
