Kevin Jerrod Selby was born May 12, 1981 in Chowan County to Shelton Selby and Roberta Rouson. He departed this life on August 21, 2015.

He attended Washington County Schools and graduated form Plymouth High School. Kevin moved Virginia where he worked as a Barber and later fathered two beautiful daughters. He loved spending time with his girls and was a wonderful father.

Kevin was a "Golden Nugget". He shined in dark places and there was never a dull moment when he was around.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memories: daughters- Iyanna Magdalene and Kasaundra Nicole- Virginia Beach, VA.; father-Shelton Selby (Cassandra)- Plymouth, NC.; mother- Roberta Rouson- Plymouth, NC.; sisters- Chandra Randolph (Earl)- Columbia, SC.; Kathy Moore (Carlos)- Greenville, NC.; Rolanda Selby- Williamston, NC., Sha-Nicca White (Mark)- Hawaii, Tiashel Selby- Plymouth, NC. Mikaela Selby- Plymouth, NC.; brothers- David Gatlin- Connecticut, Shelton Selby, Jr. (Kyenna)- Williamston, NC., Frankie Garrett- US Navy, Christopher Rouson- Plymouth, NC., Tariq Manuel- Plymouth, NC., Geoffrey Huggins- Virginia; special nephew/brother- Ricardo Selby- Maryland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces , nephews and friends.

Memorial services were 11:00AM Friday August 28, 2015 at Temple of Christ Church with Bishop Avery Barnes, pastor, Pastor Vanessa Byrd, eulogist.
