Kizmel Kachae Remus Norman was born March 19, 1994 in Chowan County Hospital in Edenton, NC.

Kizmel graduated from Plymouth High School in 2012. He was a recipient of the 2012 All State Linebacker of the Year Award for the Plymouth High School football team. He was a member of Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) were he served on the Junior Choir, and DCYF. He was employed at Diversified Wood Products in Plymouth as a machine operator.

"Mel" as he was called by his family will be remembered for his beautiful smile and deep dimples by his mother and stepfather Ramonica Brown Downing and Jerris Monte Downing of Plymouth; and his father William Norman of Roper,NC. Also leaves to cherish his memory one sister Emonie Downing of Plymouth; three brothers Monte Downing and Kinah Downing of Plymouth and Kendrick Norman of Roper, three aunts Javoner Brown Plymouth; Darlene Gibson, Roper; Louise Keyes Indiana, Indianapolis; and four uncles Tony Brown of Plymouth; Damone Brown Greensboro, NC; Remus Brown Baltimore, Md. Samuel Norman of Roper,NC. Grandmother Stella Jackson of Roper and Grandfather Louis Norman of Merry Hill, NC. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Florence and Remus Brown.

Funeral services were held at Plymouth High School, at 2:00 PM, with Bishop Stanley Hicks, Pastor, Officiating. Burial followed at Toodle's Cemetery, Plymouth, NC.
