Lillie Mae Bishop Norman was born January 24, 194 to the late Willie McKinley Bishop and Ida Norman Bishop. She was the oldest of four children. She entered into eternal rest on April 22,1941 at Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Lillie Mae attended Washington County Schools and joined Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) at an early age, where she remained a faithful member until her death.
She married Robert Earl Norman on March 23, 1963. She was employed by Washington County Schools and sometimes worked with Robert Webb.
She was a member of the Usher Board, Helping Hands, Pastor's Aide and the Jollettes. She was also a member of Community of the Heart. Lillie Mae opened her heart and to everyone and would help anyone if she could. She loved doing puzzle books.
She leaves to mourn, her husband of 55 years of the home- Robert Earl Norman; daughters- Cassandra Randolph (Curtis) of Hampton, GA, Demetrice Jones of Plymouth, NC., Diane Baldwin (Kerry) of Plymouth, NC., Valerie Jackson (Willie Lee) of Roper, NC; sons- Edward E. Belfield of Portsmouth, VA., Morris Spruill of Plymouth, NC; sisters- Deloris Bedford (Wayne) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Lillian Thomas (Bolden) of Norfolk, VA; six brothers-in-law; seven sisters-in-law; twenty grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special niece Regina Norman; best friend Catherine Norman, and caregiver granddaughter, Bryell.
