Ms. Lula Walker was born November 23, 1924 in Rocky Mount, NC. She was one of fourteen children born to the union of the late Jerry Walker and Ada Pitt Walker. She departed this life on Wednesday September 18, 2013 at her home in Plymouth.

Lula spent part of her early adult years in Jersey City, NJ where she worked for years before she returned to North Carolina. She spent the majority of her later years in Plymouth, NC where she was a former employee of Tetterton Restaurant and the Plymouth Oil Company.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter- Helene Walker- Plymouth, sister- Adell Walker-Rogers- Roper, NC., six grandchildren- Amanda Walker of the home, Regina Ann Walker- Plymouth, Kevin Wolfe- Jersey City, NJ., Keisha Wolfe- Durham, NC., Barbara Wright, Kathleen Walker-Starks (Robert)- Stafford, VA; fifteendgreat grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral services were 2:00PM Sunday September 23, 2013 at Toodle's Funeral Home with Brother LeVance Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Toodle's Cemetery.
