Luther "Whimpy" James Jackson, 73 passed peacefully at home on Tuesday August 30, 2022. Luther Jackson was affectionately known by many as "Whimpy". Luther was born to the late William Earl Jackson and Pastor Dorothy Wilkins Jackson in Washington County, NC.

"Whimpy" leaves to cherish his memories his siblings Doris Bryant, Betty Simpson, and Thomas Jackson all of Roper, NC, Charlene Norman of Yeadon, PA, and William Jackson jr of Boston Massachusetts.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday September 4, 2022 at 3pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to Funeral Service. Both will be held at Christ Holiness Church 301 N Railroad St. Roper, NC. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

Elder Gary Blount will be officiating.
