Marjorie Riddick Cabarrus was born February 17, 1934 to the late Reverend Willie Augustus and Mildred Spencer Riddick. She answered the master's call and departed from her earthly home with family for eternal life on June 8, 2012.

Educated in the public schools of Washingnton County, she confessed Christ at an early age and united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church (Creswell, NC) and was a faithful and devoted member. She was preceded in death by husband John L. Cabarrus, two sisters- Willie Mae Monroe and Alverita Jones.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory: daughters- Glenda Phillips- Richmond, VA., Carolyn Fields- Richmond, VA.; sons- Johnnie Cabarrus Sr.,- Creswell,NC., Carlton Cabarrus Sr.,- Richmond, VA., four sisters-in-law- Mariah Cabarrus- Norfolk, VA., Mary Cabarrus- Creswell, NC., Irene Cabarrus- Creswell, NC., Margeanna Cabarrus- Norfolk, VA.; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces ,nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held 2:00PM June 14, 2012 at St. John Missionary Baptist Creswell, NC with Reverend James H. Rodgers officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery.
