Eldress Mattie Boston Graddy was born June 7, 1920 to Robert and Annie Modell Cordon Boston. She was called to rest on May 20, 2014 at Winter Park Rehab Center, Maitland, Florida after a long and peaceful life.

Eldress Graddy was raised on the Creek Road in Piney Woods. Mattie attended school in Dardens, NC. She joined Uniontown Church at an early age. Mattie moved to New York where she worked most of her adult life. Mattie lived in Washington, NC where she married Mack Graddy and one child by previous marriage, Kimberly. Mattie was an Ordained Minister and loved preaching the word of God.

Eldress Graddy leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Kimberly Ubiles of Orlando, Florida, several grandchildren and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend Lydia Williams of Washington, NC.

Funeral services were 3:00PM Saturday May 31, 2014 at Uniontown Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Bishop Daniel Boston, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Uniontown Church Cemetery.
