Perry Lonnel Knight was born August 7, 1958 in Washington County. He was the son of the late James and Margaret Knight. He entered his eternal rest on August 27, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

He received his educaton in Washington County Public Schools and later attended Job Corps in Kentucky. He worked as a construction worker for many years and was a very skilled painter. Perry never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone he could. He was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and no one could convince him that they were not the best team in the NFL.

Perry leaves to cherish his memories one daughter- Zionanna Cooper- New York, two brothers- Jimmie Knight and Reginald Knight both of Plymouth, five sisters- Linda Smith, Mary Knight, Sandra Knight,Eugenia Knight and Selena Knight all of Plymouth, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Knight, Larry Knight and Stephen Knight.

Funeral services were held 3:00PM Sunday September 2, 2012 at Temple of Christ Church with Bishop Avery Barnes officiating. Burial followed in Toodle's Cemetery.
