Phyllis Undine Harrison Cordon 97, of Glenn Dale, Maryland and formerly of Plymouth, NC., died peacefully November 9, 2025 at Doctor's Community Hospital, Lanham, Maryland.

Mrs. Cordon was a beloved elementary school teacher with Washington County Public School System and was honored as "Teacher of the Year."

She was an active member of Order of Eastern Star Queen Esther Jewel Chapter #32, Plymouth, NC., Past Worthy Matron, Past District Deputy Grand Matron, Honorary Past Matron, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Bluebirds Club, and the Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Cordon was a devoted member of Spring Green Church of Christ(Disciples of Christ) and dedicated much of her life to community service, including supporting civic engagement as an active member of the Democratic party.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Charlena Cordon Jones, grandaughters Karmin and Sydney, great-grandaughter Alexandra and an array of extended family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Celebration of life services will be 12:00PM Saturday November 22, 2025 at Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Bishop William Barber, II, officiating.

Burial will follow in Uniontown Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) Cemetery.in Jamesville, NC.

Viewing will be 10AM to 12PM Saturday November 22, 2025 at Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Order of Eastern Star rites.
