Ricky L. White, Sr. was born October 6, 1961 in Plymouth, NC. He was the son of the late James White, Sr. and the late Evelyn Armstead White. He departed this life on Monday August 31, 2015 after a brief illness in Bronx, NY.

HIs maternal grandparents were Annie Mae Armstead and the late Milton Armstead of Plymouth, NC. His paternal grandparents were the late Henrietta White and the late Charlie White of Plymouth, NC.

He joined New Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated form Plymouth High School in 1980, and moved to Bronx, NY where he lived until his death.

He was currently employed by the College of New Rochelle, NY in the Transportation Department. He also worked in the Security Department as a security officer.

Ricky was a "Gentle Spirit" with a loving, caring personality.. He loved the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and basketball.

On August 14, 1987, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wanda Biggs. Ricky and Wanda had a special bond that they shared, not only with each other but also with their family.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife Wanda of 28 years, son-Ricky White, Jr., daughter- Tatiyana D. White, brother- Henry White (April)- Alexandria, VA., sisters Evelyn Whitley (Gary)- Plymouth, NC., Debra White- Alexandria, VA., sisters-in-law- Freda Biggs- Patterson, NJ., Shirley Biggs, Angelina Biggs, brothers-in-law- Horace Biggs, Reginald Biggs, Carlton Biggs, seven aunts, five uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were 11:00AM Monday September 7, 2015 at New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Harry L. White, Jr., officiating. Burial followed in McNair Family Cemetery.
