Mr. Sameul Bell, Jr.,74, of 312-A West Water Street, Plymouth died June 6, 2012 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.
Funeral services were held 2:00PM Sunday June 10, 2012 at Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples Of Christ) with Elder Stanley Hicks officiating
Samuel Bell, Jr. also known as "Vegas" was born July 27, 1937 in Washington County. He was the son of the late Samuel Bell, Sr. and Lula Slade Bell. He attended Washington County School in Plymouth. He later moved to Philadelphia where he lived for many years. "Vegas" was a construction worker who worked in many parts of the state. You could see "Vegas" anytime riding his bike with his cool shades on and his fishing rod in hand.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters- Joyce Ann Bell- Plymouth and Lisa Perkins- Greenville; three sisters- Annie Small, Lula Johnson and Katie Davis all of Plymouth; two brothers- James Bell and Ernest Bell all of Plymouth; four grandchilden and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Two special friends Fannie Stanton who stood by him until the end and Wade Respass a close neighbor.
