Terry Laine Heath, the youngest born son to the late Gloria S. Heath and Coley I. Thomas, Sr. was born Wednesday, December 28, 1955 in Accomack County, VA. God called him home from this life to eternity Monday, June 23, 2014 at Vidant Memorial Hospital, Greenville NC.
Terry accepted Christ early in life. He was educated in Accomack County Public Schools., Eastern Shore, VA. During his high school years he played football for Central High Painter, VA. Back then he was known as "Polkwood". After graduating high school in June 1974, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1974- 1976. He was an engineer building bridges through the jungles in Vietnam. In 1980 he was honorably discharged.
Over his lifetime he worked numerous jobs, the longest was with Colony Tire, Plymouth,NC. for over 16 years. In 1998 Terry received his Certificate of Licensing to preach the Gospel Ministry He also volunteered for many years at NC Adult Corrections Prisons.
He leaves to cherish his memory: six sisters; Roslyn Phillips, Pamela Fenner, Julia (Jackie) Bundick, Kim Thomas, Cynthia Smith, Brenda Robinson, Four Brothers: Herman Health, Coley J. Thomas, Jr., Shawn Thomas, Jerry Robinson. Great Aunt Myrtle Downing, Uncle Ronald (Mildred) Heath. A special niece, Roxanna (Urein) Joyner, Sr. 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and several other great nieces and nephews, cousins. And a host of other beloved family and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 16, 2014 at Agape Refuge community, Roper, NC. with Pastor Emanuel L. Hyman, Officiating. Burial was followed at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC.
