Mr. Thornton Cleveland Smith, 81, 428 Bank Street Roper passed away peacefully at the home.

He leaves to cherish his memories, Shelby J. Smith of the home and one son Thornton Smith III of Durhman, NC, one sister Florentine Downing of Baltimore, MD, three brothers, Richmond Smith(Sandra), Samuel Smith(Judy) both of Plymouth, NC and James Smith of Mitchellville, MD.

A small private Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday September 5, 2020 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery Roper, NC
