Vivian C. Patrick was born February 26, 1933 in Plymouth, NC to the late Lonnie Joseph Young and Catherine Ellis. She entered into eternal rest on August 4, 2018 at River Trace Nursing Home in  Washington, NC.

Vivian accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Plymouth. She received her education in the Washington County School System. She was employed as a Nursing Assistant with Washington County Hospital. Aside from her work, she spent time volunteering with Relay for Life. She had a passion for singing and reading. She was a member of numerous book clubs.

She married the late Willie Harrison Patrick and to this union they were blessed with four children; Vincent H. Patrick who preceded her in death, Veronica Harris (Larry) of Norfolk, VA., Vanessa Palin (Lorenza) of Plymouth., Vivian Joy Clemmons (Bobby) of Knoxville, Tn.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three sisters- Catherine McNair, Mary Williams, and Delarease Bethel all of Chesapeake, Va; six grandchildren- Lorenza Palin, Jr., Brandy Barnes, Brandon Gibson, Shauna Samonte, Shannon Patrick and Samantha Ware; ten great grandcholdren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives an friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Powell and four brothers; Arthur Brooks, Aaron Brooks, Bobby Brooks, and Henry Brooks.

Burial was at Spruill Eternal Rest Cemetery.
