Wallace Lee Brown peacefully departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at his residence. Wallace, affectionately known as "Pernard" was the son of the late Kader Brown Sr. and Kathleen Stokes Brown. He attended the Martin County Schools. He worked for Norfolk- Southern Railroad for many years. Pernard was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved the sport of hunting and fishing. Loving Memories shall live forever in the hearts of: two daughters Melrease F. Smith(Ezel) of Greenville, NC and Delrease F. Reese (Clinton Jr.) of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren: Damone L. Reese, Damease Land (Stone) and Clinton Reese 3: six great grandchildren: Kayla, Damease, Persaya, Shane, Denari and Amerie; sister: Mildred Downing of Plymouth , NC; brother, Herbert Brown of Manhattan, NY; aunts: Betty Williams and Irene Hines of Fayetteville, NC; sister-in-law: Ann Brown of West Virginia; special friend of the family Regina Edwards; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pernard was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers: George, Ollie, Robert, and Kader Brown Jr.; sisters: Mary Brown Hart, Catherine Brown and Annie Brown Norman: grandchild La'Micha Monique Smith. Funeral services 1:00PM October 26, 2013 at Toodle's Chapel with Pastor Christopher Bryant, officiating. Burial followed in Toodle's Cemetery.
