Willie Edward Moore was born September 14, 1929. He was the son of the late Sylvester Moore and Annie Moore. He departed this life on December 3, 2012 at his home in Dardens.

Willie was educated in (Dardens) Jamesville, NC. He worked and retired with the Town of Jamesville. He was a trustee and usher of Promise Land Church for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers-Phillip Moore- Brooklyn, NY., Smitty Moore- Norfolk, VA., Daryl Moore- Plymouth, NC.,; three sisters- Hilda Evans- Arizona, Weylla Moore- Plymouth, NC., June Osborne- California, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday 2:30PM December 9, 2012 at Promise Land Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Bishop Anthony R. Terrell officiating. Burial followed in Promise Land Cemetery.
